Reflections on Bletchley Park

Taking a break from the week’s relentless tech news (including Nvidia becoming the publicly traded company to be valued at $5tn, a global Microsoft outage, and OpenAI’s shift to becoming a fully for-profit firm), I thought it wise to step back and take up Christos’ suggestion that you reflect on your trip to Bletchley Park.

What (if anything) did you know about Bletchley Park before visiting?

What were your initial impressions? Which element(s) of the visit did you find to be the most striking (whether it was the history of codebreaking, the AI exhibition, or something else entirely)?

Now that we are a few weeks into Michaelmas term, have your views changed, or rather, has your first half term on the programme led you to see your visit in a different light?
